On Sunday the 4th June the AFT Fluorotec sponsored football teams enjoyed exciting days at both ends of the country!
In Tynecastle, Edinburgh, Heart OF Midlothian FC Hosted the “Play The Game Expo” and AFT Fluorotec sponsored team, Currie FC 2015 team were invited to take part.
The Expo is all about empowering kids to play football their way, embracing the spirit of "Street football." It's a day where children take control of the game, with parents and coaches watching silently. There were no winners or losers, just pure excitement as the kids get to play on the premier side pitch, fuelling their passion for football and inspiring their future in the sport. It's especially thrilling for Currie FC, as many of the kids have the opportunity to play on the same pitch where their favourite team, Hearts FC, and their heroes showcase their skills week after week.
At the other end of the country, AFT Fluorotec sponsored team, Ware Youth Clarets participated in the highly anticipated Ware Youth Festival of Football. This esteemed tournament, organised by Ware Youth, marks a significant milestone as they celebrate 50 years of football this year. Spanning across consecutive weekends, the festival brings together teams from Under 6 to Under 14 age groups, creating an exciting and inclusive platform for young footballers to showcase their skills and passion for the game.
The Clarets Under 12 team had an incredible journey in this year's tournament, proudly claiming victory in the Shield competition. Despite a slow start, they showcased their determination by advancing from the group stage and securing a remarkable 3-1 win in the Quarter Finals against strong opponents. The excitement continued to mount as they clinched a nail-biting victory in the Semi Finals through a penalty shootout, propelling them to the much-anticipated final. Despite trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Clarets displayed their true class, staging a remarkable comeback to secure a 2-1 win and lift the trophy with a late goal in extra time. It was a truly fantastic day filled with memorable moments for everyone involved.
