A Bentley Crankcase Vaqua blasted.

This process has a number of different names Vaqua, Vapour Blasting, Vapour Honing and Slurry Blasting but is essentially glass beads suspended in an aqueous solution, propelled by compressed air (variable).

Main benefits

  1. Aluminium engine parts can be restored to as new or brighter then new appearance sateen finish.
  2. Gasket faces are not eroded.
  3. Can be used to give a uniform texture prior to anodising on aluminium parts and as a pre-treatment to plating on steel parts.
  4. Delicate cleaning of dimensionally critical parts without distortion.
